Project Leader, Consumables Manufacturing
Virtual Arrays a venture-backed biotechnology company, is developing
novel technologies for comprehensive cellular analysis. By applying
modern imaging technology to the life sciences, Virtual Arrays
intends to develop and commercialize products that help decipher
gene function, fundamentally change the information derived from
high throughput screening and speed the development of innovative
therapeutic and diagnostic products.
The individual will lead a project to commercialize
consumables, an integral part of an instrument and software system
being developed at Virtual Arrays. The candidate will interact
with partners and internal R&D to streamline a manufacturing process
compatible with the biological assays to be conducted. Design
and execute validation plans, stability studies and document newly
developed procedures (write SOP's) and establish protocols for
the successful introduction of Virtual Arrays technology.
The candidate should have a BS in Life Sciences
or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in a technology-oriented
manufacturing environment preferably including exposure to reagents
and consumables. Experience with cell culture or protein analysis
is a must. The candidate will also possess strong interpersonal
verbal/oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task
in a fast paced environment.
