From ___ to 2000, Mr. Leytes was the Principal Founder, Chairman
of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of LJL Biosystems,
Inc. He was responsible for strategy, executive team building,
venture capital financing, IPO on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in
1998, and merger with Molecular Devices (NASDAQ: MDCC) in 2000,
creating a combined enterprise with a market capitalization exceeding
$1 billion upon merger. Mr. Leytes holds an M.S., Engineering,
Moscow Engineering Institute.

Ravkin
Dr. Ravkin brings 24 years experience developing biomedical image
analysis systems. From 1988-1999, he worked in senior technical
and engineering management positions at Applied Imaging, from
start-up through IPO, where he developed and brought to market
a range of proprietary products in the area of life science research.
In 1993, he founded TOFRA, a supplier of optical automation products.
Dr. Ravkin received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Electrical
Engineering Institute, St. Petersburg.
Vice President, Biology R&D Simon
Goldbard
Dr. Goldbard has over 15 years. industrial experience directing
development of products for infectious disease and genetics markets.
From 1994 to 2000, he worked as Director of Product Development
at Applied Imaging, and from 1991-1994 as Director of Research
& Development at Medigene, developing products associated with
reagents and cancer diagnosis systems. In 1986, he co-founded
Genet Corp., a developer of DNA probe-based diagnostics, which
Quantum Chemicals acquired in 1989. He holds a Ph.D. in Immunobiology
from the Department of Biochemistry, Iowa State University.
Vice President of Strategic Marketing
Katherine Tynan
Dr. Tynan has 8 years of industrial experience directing product
development of instrument and reagent systems and services for
the life-sciences and diagnostics markets. From 1997-2001, she
worked at Applied Biosystems in various roles, including Director
of Business Development, and Group R&D Leader for GeneScan products.
She was also involved in business consulting for Celera and Celera
Diagnostics, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Applera Corp. From
1993-1996, she worked as the Director of Molecular Genetics for
the diagnostic services company, Oncogenetics/Datagenetics (acquired
by Impath in 1996), where she developed tests for diverse applications
such as inherited genetic diseases, HLA typing, oncology and paternity
testing. Dr. Tynan did post doctoral work at Stanford University
and received her LLNL, and Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University
of Calgary. She also has attended Babson College's "Consortium
for Executive Development".
