Casa
Catelli & Our Vision
Casa Catelli offers a new range of Italian wines that
take advantage of all the benefits of growing in the regions in the
South of Italy.
The philosophy is to make wines only from indigenous Italian
varieties, those that best express the particular characteristics of
their respective region, and then offer those wines at a remarkable
price. Each wine is made to be fruity, but we are committed to keep
a balance between tradition (terroir) and modernity.
For each wine, Casa Catelli is in control of the finished
product from the vineyards to the bottle, having selected the vineyard
and winery in every instance. The winemaking team works very closely
with the growers in order to obtain continuity of style and to ensure
that the distinctive flavor profiles of the indigenous varietals are
maintained.
Casa Catelli has put its focus on some of the best native
varietals from the south of Italy. Apuglia and Basilicata in particular,
have been a part of the Italian winemaking tradition for over 2,500
years. These unique geographical locations, climates and soils produce
some of the most interesting indigenous red varietals of Italy, such
as Aglianico, Negroamaro and Primitivo.
