Support Services
The Sausalito School District employs a full-time art specialist, math/science teacher, physical education teacher, technology specialist, half-time psychologist, and certified nurse. Special Education and Title I services are provided for students with special needs. Counseling services are available for students. A GATE program for gifted and talented students is also offered. Through a partnership with Autodesk, the District schools are project-based education teacher training centers for other schools in the nation. The Center for Attitudinal Healing, Marin City Project, Lucas Films, Women Helping All People, and ACE/Step II work collaboratively with students, parents and staff.

Student Achievement
Progress reports are sent home to kindergarten through 5th grades. Grades 6, 7, and 8 receive semester report cards.

Community Involvement
Parents participate in parent-sponsored activities and assist in the classrooms. Parents, community members, and local businesses support local schools through contributions to the Sausalito Schools Foundation to fund hands-on-science, multicultural music/drama programs, mini grants and other projects. The District also benefits from partnerships with businesses to fund computer-based educational projects and from grants which provide a resource pool of services for families in need.
